My mom, dad, Zach and I went to the Kurt Bestor Cancer Christmas Concert. It was for those individuals who have/had cancer and their family and friends. It was fun, we saw my aunt Marci with my cousins there too.
Since last year, when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer we've made that a new Christmas tradition. It's been really neat to go to the concert and see all those who've been affected with cancer shine their lights at a certain part in the concert. It's really touching. It's been a 1 1/2 years, that my mom has been cancer free. We are all so happy her life is beginning to get back to normal (minus the aches and pains from the damaging effects of chemotherapy treatment). Way to go MOM!
We also went to Music and the Spoken Word last Sunday morning. It was amazing. The music was so beautiful and it was decorated with all the Christmas trees and lights. We want to make that a new tradition that we always do around Christmas time.
