Our Stake put on a camp out at Clinton Lake. It was a lot of fun!
Zach setting up our Truck Tent.
Our air mattress didn't fit in it very well because of the wheels. Poor Zach didn't get much sleep. Actually none of us camping really did, especially with some kid screaming all through the night... but it was fun nonetheless! :)
The group roasting marshmallows.
Millie, Wyatt, and Jack.
Toastin' mallows
This funny man walked around showing kids his little beaver puppet. The kids loved it. It freaked me out a first because he came up behind me and tried to show me his creature in the dark. :)
Stephanie with her kids Millie and Jack.
Wyatt wanted to sit with all the Christensens during the campfire. They are so sweet to Wyatt.
It was so fun being with our friends: Stephanie, Me, Keesa, and Sarah (in front).
This was our first time camping in Kansas.
They passed around music so we could all sing campfire songs. Wyatt obviously can't read yet, but he wanted to be cool like the other kids :)
The next day we headed to Clinton lake. We heard there was a swim beach...
But this was soggy, muddy, messy...with dead fish all over the place.
The kids didn't really mind though.
But then...
Our friends started heading home to go swim at some other lake...when they found the REAL swim beach!
So we jumped in the truck and headed over.
It was WAY better :) Thanks guys!
The kids loved playing in the sand.
Wyatt, Maddie, and Raelee.
Keesa and I chatted and sunbathed.
As did the Trevor and Zach.
We sure had a fun weekend!
