Zach's Parents Came to Visit!

Zach's parents came to visit us.  YEA!

We went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant.

The next day they came to church with us.  Then we drove them around the nicer parts of town.  

The next day they left to go to visit Zach's sister Jaimi and her family in another state.

Then they came back and visited us for a couple days.

June 5, 2012 

They took Wyatt to the Zoo while I had a primary meeting.
They said Wyatt was running around showing them everything!  Then at the end, he was slowly walking...he was all worn out being their tour guide. ;)

 Then we met up and went on a train ride around Gage Park.

 Wyatt loves riding the train.

 We had some fun times at the carousel.   

 Dads face cracks me up!  Wyatt just wants to get the picture over with.  And Mom looks like a prefect little Dorthy. :)

 We had a fun time, Wyatt didn't want to get off.

 Then we went to the duck pond and fed the ducks bread.

 Wyatt chased those poor geese all over the place.  

 I think the geese were glad when we Wyatt left.

Wyatt had a nice long nap after that, we were all worn out from all that fun!

 We headed to the Kansas City Royals Baseball Game.

 Wyatt was so excited to see a baseball game with Grandma and Grandpa!

 We had so much fun!

 Wyatt was so into it!  He'd say "where'd the ball go", when it went into the crowd.  He watched the pitcher throwing the ball and watched the batter hit it.  He was SOOO into it!  Baseball just might be his sport :)

 Gotta have hot dogs at a baseball game!

 So good!

 Look how happy he is that they are here with us.  Awww :)

 Wyatt can't keep his eye away from watching the game ;)

That night we stayed at a hotel in Kansas City.  

It was a little run down but what the heck, who needs a solid toilet seat to sit on, or a bathroom that locks?  We had a good laugh about it. We were all just too tired to care.

June 6, 2012

The next morning we dropped Wyatt off at my Aunt Marci's house so we could all go to the new Kansas City Temple together.  It was so nice!

 We were glad we could all be together.

Later we went and did a little church history tour.

 We visited the Independence future temple site grounds and went to the visitors center.

(Wyatt tooted and made the Sister Missionary tour host laugh.  It was pretty funny. She tried not to...but she couldn't quite hold her laugh in.  We all cracked up as well.  Oh kids...)

 We had a really nice time.

 Then we headed to Liberty Jail.  Zach went in with his parents while Wyatt and I napped in the car.

 Then we drove out to the Far West temple site.  It had all the corner stones of the temple encased on the lot.

 Next was Adam-Ondi-Ahman. 

 It was beautiful.  The spirit is so strong there.

 Wyatt was blowing the dandelions.

 We went to Union Station for a quick look.

 The ceilings are amazing!

 The whole place is pretty amazing.  The train station still functions today!

 We took Mom and Dad to Oklahoma Joe's BBQ.  It's very well known out here.  

It's in a dumpy gas station.  The line to wait in goes outside the building.  I think we waited for 2 hours to get up and order!  But it's well worth the wait.  The food is sooooooo good!

Mom and Dad really liked the food too.  It's one of those places you've just got to go to!
It's Kansas City... they're known for their BBQ!

Mom and Dad left the next day.  We felt like we had so much more to do with them, but they didn't have the time.  :( We tried to cram as much stuff in as we could in those few days they were here.

We were so glad they came to visit us, we had a blast!
