Where's the silverware?

Our first day in Topeka was pretty horrible. There was a huge lightning storm, which happens a lot here. The whole sky lights up it's pretty crazy and super loud! (I think it's because there aren't any mountains here to block it.) The power went out in part of the city, but we found a hotel to stay at that had 2 queen size beds. My parents slept in one, us in the other, my brother was on a cot and Wyatt slept in his pack and play in the bathroom. It was pretty cozy :) haha. Every day we would scramble around and try and find a place to live in. After 2 1/2 days of stress and non stop calling and driving my dad happened to find an apartment that had just become available and it was ready to move into right then...so we said "We'll take it!" Thanks Dad!!!!
It's a pretty small apartment and we have a TON of stuff so most of it is in storage. We couldn't find the silverware anywhere so for dinner so we ate with the random things we did have. It was so funny I had to get a pic.
Thanks for all your hard work guys. The guys moved tons of stuff in the heat of the day. It was 106 degrees with 90% humidity. It seriously feels like a furnace when you open the door to go out. Good thing this apartment complex has a pool, Wyatt and I are out there a couple times a week.

YAY! So glad you found a place. Your original shack...totally reminds me of one of our first apartments in Provo (it was literally a 100 yr old house divided into 4 apartments with peeling paint and old everything). At least it was clean! Washburn looks great! So happy you found a nice place with a pool!
